In our kennel, the working capabilities of a dog are very important. We believe the dog's protection work portrays its temperament and courage in every situation. We are very proud of our kennel's ability to achieve in the Protection Work category at the South African National Breed Championships.

In 2014, Olf von der Datze and four of his progeny (two males and two females) were awarded Excellence in protection workunder judges Herr Frank Goldlust and Herr Eric Bösl. Olf's progeny awarded the award:
Females: Carla of Penncroft and Carla of Penncroft.
Males: Chad of Penncroft and Ltee of Kinneret.

In 2013, all 3 of the males we presented in the open class at Nationals, under German judge Herr Reinhardt Meyer, were awarded Excellence in protection work: Olf von der Datze, Yip and Chippo.

In 2012, all 3 of the males we presented in the open class at Nationals, under German judge Herr Rudiger Mai, were awarded Excellence in protection work: Olf von der Datze, Yip and Chippo.

In 2011, at the South African Championships we were again awarded Excellence in the protection work with our two males, Yip and Chippo. They were two of the six dogs presented with this award, under the German judge Herr Eric Bösl.

In 2010, our male, Yip, was one of three dogs to be awarded "Excellence" in protection work, judged by the president of the German Shepherd Dog Federation of Germany, Herr Reinhardt Meyer.
